About Navya

A small studio, on purpose.

Navya opened in 2016 with one idea: dentistry feels better when nobody is in a hurry. We’ve kept the studio small, with three chairs and two specialists, so every patient still gets that time.

Our story

Built around the appointment, not the queue

Most of us have sat in a dental waiting room for forty minutes, then been seen in ten. Navya was set up to do the opposite: fewer appointments a day, longer first visits, and time to explain what we see before we suggest anything.

It also means being straightforward about money. You get a written estimate before treatment starts, and that’s the price you pay.

The team

Specialists you’ll see every visit

You’ll see the same dentist at every visit of your treatment, never a rotating roster.

    Dr. Ananya Rao

    BDS, MDS (Prosthodontics)

Founder · Implants & smile design

After eight years in a busy hospital department, Ananya wanted a practice where appointments could take as long as they needed. She founded Navya in 2016 and still sees most new patients herself. Her work focuses on replacing and restoring teeth so they look natural and last.

    Orthodontist · Aligners & braces

Karthik joined Navya in 2019 to lead its orthodontic work. He treats teenagers and adults with clear aligners and braces, and is known for explaining every stage on screen before anything starts. Check-ins are kept short, so treatment fits around work and school.

Dr. Nisha Varghese

BDS, MDS (Paediatric Dentistry)

Visiting paediatric dentist · Saturdays

Nisha sees children every Saturday, from first teeth to teenage check-ups. Her visits are short, playful and paced by the child, which is why many of our youngest patients look forward to them.

Sterilisation

Clean, and you can check

Every instrument goes through the same five steps after every patient. Each autoclave cycle is logged, and you’re welcome to see the log.

Sterilised dental instruments laid out on a steel tray.
  1. Clean

Instruments are scrubbed and run through an ultrasonic cleaner.

  2. Inspect and pouch

Each is checked, then sealed in a dated sterilisation pouch.

  3. Sterilise

A Class B autoclave uses steam under pressure and vacuum cycles to sterilise inside and out.

  4. Log

Every cycle is recorded and verified with indicator strips.

  5. Open in front of you

Pouches are opened at your chair, so you can see they’re sealed.
