Check-up & cleaning

A careful check of your teeth, gums and bite, followed by a gentle clean. It’s the simplest way to catch problems early, while they’re small and inexpensive to fix.

What it is

We examine every tooth, your gums and bite, and the soft tissues of your mouth, looking for early signs of decay, gum disease and anything else that needs a closer look.

Then a scale and polish removes hardened plaque (tartar) and surface stains that brushing at home can’t shift.

Who it’s for

  • Anyone due a routine check-up
  • Bleeding gums or persistent bad breath
  • New patients who’d like a baseline before any treatment
  • Anyone who hasn’t seen a dentist in a while (no judgement)

Step by step

What happens

  1. A quick conversation

Any pain, sensitivity or worries, and your medical history.

  2. A thorough examination

Teeth, gums and soft tissues, with photos from an intraoral camera so you can see what we see.

  3. X-rays, only if needed

Low-dose digital X-rays when there’s a reason to look between or below teeth.

  4. Scale and polish

Gentle removal of tartar and stains, with numbing gel if your gums are sensitive.

  5. Your plan

What’s healthy, what to watch, and when to come back.

Cost

₹1,500–₹2,500

The typical range for check-up & cleaning. After your consultation you get a written estimate, and that’s the price you pay.

What affects the price

  • Whether X-rays are needed
  • How much tartar has built up
  • Deep cleaning for gum disease is priced separately
Payment options and no-interest EMI

Questions

Good to know

Does scaling damage enamel?

No. Scaling removes hardened deposits from the surface of the tooth; it doesn’t remove enamel. Teeth can feel a little sensitive for a day or two, especially if there was a lot of tartar.

How often should I have a check-up?

Most people every six months. If you have gum disease or a higher risk of decay, we may suggest every three or four months, and we’ll explain why.
